Book Launch: ‘It’s Not My Fault: Memoir of Graeme Clarke’

Book Launch: ‘It’s Not My Fault: Memoir of Graeme Clarke’

Join the Wellington Socialist Society and Rebel Press for the launch of Graeme Clarke’s memoir “It’s Not My Fault.”

Graeme has spent much of his life in the trade union and socialist movements. He became active as a union delegate in the auto industry and later became a union official. He also became involved in communist activism. Across the course of his career, he was involved in many events of great political and social importance in Aotearoa New Zealand’s history, including the 1981 anti-Springbok tour protests, the wage freeze and Trades Hall bombing, equal pay disputes in the auto industry, the 1991 anti-union Employment Contracts Act, and much more.

Graeme has been an active member of the Wellington Socialist Society, making many insightful interventions at our events over the years. We hope you will enjoy listening to his perspective as much as we have – there is much to learn from older comrades like Graeme as we continue to carry the flame forward into future struggles!

Copies of Graeme’s memoir will be available for purchase. If you ask nicely, he might even sign your copy!
